The Frontier Drive-Inn is a traditional drive-in, turned into an Inn. Frontier has fourteen rooms – ten yurts (with outdoor gas firepits), four en-suite rooms, and is open year-round. From June to October, movies (with popcorn) are shown on weekends, weather dependent. The site is also home to the original Snack Bar building where patrons can cook their own food in our Chef’s Kitchen and enjoy it with friends.
In 2022, Frontier commissioned award winning architect, Ron Rael to create it’s first structural commission – eight open air observatories (Skylos), where guests can enjoy the San Luis Valley’s stunning, unobstructed night sky. Rael, originally from Antonito, Colorado, works in native materials and used his 3D printing process to create the Skylos.
